I’m pretty capable when it comes to building websites. I’m literate with Html, CSS and PHP and I know WordPress inside-out. I’ve built many successful hotel websites that are still live. My particular skill is with the brochure site aspect, they were well designed and functional, but were not performance driven. With all my travel and being regularly out of internet I felt I couldn’t offer the support needed to push web design services by myself.

So I developed a relationship with UmiDigital in a creative / business development role with in the company. We have now successfully completed several projects together.

Now I have a team behind me this is proving a much more effective way of delivering professional, performance driven websites to my clients.

Steve Lowy

CoFounder & Managing Director

Steve grew up in the Hospitality industry with both his parents working in the hotel trade. He went onto to study Hospitality & Tourism Management at the University of Salford. Having created the umi Hotels brand in May 2007, he launched Umi Digital in 2010 with the view providing the independents in hospitality a one-stop-shop for their digital needs. Steve lectures across the UK and Europe, to both businesses and hospitality students, as well as employing over 180 students in a variety of roles. With a specialism in youth travel and independent brands, he also sits on the Board of BETA and STAY WYSE.

Steve was appointed Chairman of the Hotel Marketing Association in April 2017, having previously served as its Vice Chairman.

Harry Fielder


Harry is a Director and Head of Business Development at hospitality marketing company, Umi Digital. Harry has been involved with digital marketing and website development for the past 5 years having completed a successful internship with Umi Digital and BNY Mellon and going on to obtain a first class degree from The University of Bath. Since rejoining the company, Harry has been heavily involved with strategic planning at Umi Digital and is now implementing digital marketing strategies for a number of clients across the Umi portfolio.

Having travelled extensively and studied in the States, Harry is also passionate about the hospitality sector and wants to see independent hotels thrive and compete in a cut-throat digital market place.
