A beautifully remote beach retreat 40 minuets north of Malindi. The last 3km is on sand, surrounded by giant dunes and enclosed by palm and pine trees. The most incredible yet difficult to photograph aspect that sets Che Shale beach from any other beach I’ve ever been to is the sands make up is about 15% iron pyrites or “Fools Gold” which makes the beach Sparkle and the water seemingly full of gold glitter.
This is my second visit, the first in 2013, the only noticeable change was the height of the palm trees! Such comfort is gained from things that haven’t changed much in the fast moving pace of just about everywhere else.
